AUTO CHECKLIST
1. Does your auto policy accurately list all vehicles you own?
2. Does our agency insure all your vehicles? (personal, antique, business, motorcycle)?
3. For your vehicles, the registered owner and the name on your policy must match. Do they?
4. Do you have a company car or truck furnished for your use?
5. Have you paid off a car loan recently? If so, please ask us to remove the lien holder from your policy.
6. Have you changed commuting distances lately? If you drive fewer miles to work, are car-pooling 3 or more days per week or no longer drive to work, we might be able to save you some money.
7. Are any of your vehicles customized with such things as a stereo system customized van or toolbox?
8. Your liability coverage protects you if you injure someone or damage his or her property in an accident. Please consider increasing your coverage limit.
9. Your uninsured motorist coverage protects you in the event uninsured driver injures you in an accident. We recommend you increase this very important coverage.
10. Medical Payments Coverage pays for your medical bills in case of an accident. We recommend this coverage for people without health insurance, who have a health plan with a high deductible or who carry passengers without health insurance or who just want to supplement their health insurance.
11. A Personal Umbrella Liability policy provides you with $1,000,000 or more of extra liability coverage above your auto and personal liability coverage. We recommend purchasing this coverage.
12. Rental Reimbursement Coverage pays for a temporary replacement vehicle in case yours is disabled in a covered claim. We recommend this coverage.
13. Towing and Labor Coverage helps out when your car is disable and is available in various amounts.
14. The physical damage coverages include Comprehensive and Collision. Together, these coverages protect your vehicles against most causes of loss with some exceptions such as mechanical breakdown. Increasing your deductible can save you money and, in the case of older vehicle consider eliminating the coverage all together.
15. Has your primary contact information changed recently? If so, please provide us with your current home, work or cell phone number.
16. If you prefer to be contacted by e-mail, please provide us with your e-mail address.
